UK: Grocery figures now available on the iPhone

Kantar Worldpanel has launched its first app for the iPhone to provide the latest grocery share figures at the touch of a button.

The new free app is available to download now from the Apple iTunes Store. Called ‘Grocer Share’, it enables users to access the most up to date sales and market share figures for all the major UK grocery retailers. Users can also use the app to obtain data for the last 3 years, a useful tool when tracking the historical performance of a retailer.

Ed Garner, Communications Director at Kantar Worldpanel, explains: “We’re excited to launch our app as it will enable businesses and media to access the latest intelligence on the UK’s major grocery retailers 24 hours a day.”

It will be updated each month with the publication of Worldpanel’s latest grocery share figures. All this data is available in simple charts which users can email to themselves or colleagues in a single click. The app also features a section with the latest news on the grocery industry, video commentary and contact details should users require more information.

The latest grocery share figures will be available on Kantar Worldpanel’s iPhone app on Tuesday 17 August.
